I plowed through my Tivoed episodes of Kikaider, which has been running on Adult Swim and so far, I'm pretty underwhelmed by what I'm seeing. First off, let me just say that, unlike a lot of people, I don't have a problem with the art style. For those who haven't seen it yet, the character designs are from a different era, looking like they'd be more at home in Speed Racer or Star Blazers. However, the environmental designs are very modern. The simplistic characters in complex environs feels, in a sense, like Metropolis.
